Editor’s Note: This is the final installment of a three part series looking back at the highlights of 2017 in Kearney County.

Minden sophomore Chloe Beck left the country to attend school in Spain for the 2017-18 school year through the Rotary Youth Exchange program. She was one of several outbound exchange students from Nebraska spending the year abroad.
Kearney County Health Services and Two Rivers Public Health Department partnered to complete a Community Health Assessment to evaluate the county’s needs and assets. Residents were asked to participate by filling out a survey. In addition to data collection, the partners met with representatives from several areas of public health to determine a vision statement.
