A new service is now available to Kearney County Health Service patients. On September 21, orthopedic services with Dr. Jeffrey Schopp were introduced as a Specialty Outpatient Clinic. The clinic is offered every other week and aftercare is available with local providers to keep quality, specialty care in one facility for Kearney County residents.
“Dr. Schopp will be offering general orthopedic services. He anticipates covering a breadth of issues including shoulders, hands, hips, and knees, and not limiting his practice to one specific category,” KCHS CEO Luke Poore said.
KCHS has partnered with Rural Partners in Medicine out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado in order to offer the new specialty clinic. RPM helps pair specialty doctors with rural health care facilities. The result is specialized care provided locally for the convenience of patients and the growth of rural facilities.
