The Kearney County Health Services Board of Trustees got right to business during the September 27 meeting. Dr. Ed Alderman was absent from the short meeting.
The board moved quickly to new business and the consideration of an invoice for first responder equipment that fell outside the quote for the Radiology remodel project. The invoice from Electronic Sound for $6,907 included equipment and labor to install. While updating the system, the box will be moved from Pharmacy to Admissions where it can be better utilized by staff. The quote was approved by the board.
The remodel was also discussed in the CEO report from Luke Poore. He informed the board that Laboratory is operating out of conference room 1 and Radiology is operating out of the clinic break room. The change in location is to accommodate construction that could start as early as October 6. Work can officially begin once KCHS receives approval from the State Fire Marshall for the project.
