The Kearney County Health Services Board of Trustees held their final meeting of the year December 27. All members were present and there was no old business on the agenda.
As part of the process for receiving REDLG funds, the board was asked to approve receipt of funds from the City of Minden through the REDLG program and to appoint Kayla Rhynalds as the loan officer. The board approved the resolution to approve receipt of funds and appoint Rhynalds as loan officer. As the loan officer, Rhynalds will serve as the point of contact between KCHS and the City of Minden. This was the last step needed by KCHS before receiving funds which should happen in mid January.
KCHS is in need of an updated facility Life Safety Plan in order to maintain and also update the current plan in place. A proposal from RAD was presented to the board for approval. The smoke/fire plan was approved at a cost of $7,950.
