School Board Looks For Community Input During Superintendent Search PDF Print E-mail

The Minden School Board recently accepted the resignation of Dr. Melissa Wheelock, Superintendent of Schools.  We are grateful for Dr. Wheelock’s service to Minden Public Schools and wish her well in her future endeavors.
As the board plans for the hiring of a superintendent, we value and seek the input of patrons, parents, students, staff and administrators.  The Nebraska Association of School Boards is assisting the board in the superintendent search, and has scheduled a visit to our community on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.  The board extends an invitation to the staff and community to participate in this visit to share personal thoughts regarding the district and the superintendent position.  Please offer suggestions pertaining to skills, qualities, or characteristics the candidate might possess in order to be successful in his or her role as superintendent and your views about the strengths of the school district and community.  The Staff/Community visit schedule is as follows:
