The Minden High School Theater Department began their One Act competition season in Ord on November 5. The public is invited to see their production of “Prodigal” November 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Prodigal is the story of twenty-one year old Josiah Gardner who feels stifled by his father, John Gardner, and brother, Jesse Gardner, who are always watching out for him. He feels drawn to set out to find himself in the world. What he finds is that the world is a much more difficult place than he anticipated.
He’s faced with the decision of whether to permanently abandon his family or to humble himself to return home. He turns to the ghost of his mother, June Gardner, for advice before confronting the voices from inside his own head. His conscience battles back with encouragement from three good voices. Will Josiah make the decision to put himself at the mercy of his father?
