Summer can be a great time to relax, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy the great outdoors. To help keep your summer schedule from getting boring, check out the activities and events planned for June in Minden.
Jensen Memorial Library
The Summer Reading Challenge kicked off May 28 at the library, but it’s not too late to get registered. Stop in the library to pick up a Reading Challenge booklet and complete the tasks on the Challenge tickets to be entered for chances to win prizes all summer. Tasks include reading activities, community involvement, and ways to have out of this world fun. All ages are welcome to participate. A participation bag including a free book will be given to participants after turning in their first five tickets.
Weekly classes based on the grade kids are entering will be held through the month of June. These classes are designed to keep kids learning during the summer while having fun at the library. A variety of books, crafts, activities, games, and more will be organized by group leaders. Registration requested.
