The Minden Whippet track and field teams competed in their only meet this week, making the long trip to Superior for the eight-team Superior Invitational.
The Lady Whippets finished as the runner-up at the Superior Invite to St. Cecilia. The Hawkettes outscored Minden 187 to 98 for Minden followed by Thayer Central with 94 in third place.
Minden was led to a second place team finish by Neale Stadler winning silver in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 52.9.
