Jordan Miller pitched five shutout innings for the AgVenture Juniors, who went on to beat Doniphan-Trumbull for the second time this season. Miller struck out seven in the effort and Jacob Jelden homered for AgVenture, finishing with three RBI. It was Miller’s fourth win of the season, tying him for the team lead.
Quin Rutt stole four bases and scored two runs and Kieth Bendix added two more runs batted in during the 10-0 win on Wednesday, June 20, that brough the juniors season record up to 10-1.
The scoring started in the second. With two outs and no one on for AgVenture, Journey Ericsson was hit by a pitch and Jelden legged out an inside-the-park home run to deep left center field, putting AgVenture up 2-0.
