Hoyt Begins Second Tenure At Minden PDF Print E-mail

The Minden Whippets new Activities Director/Assistant Principal Phil Hoyt has come full circle in his professional career.
Hoyt began his teaching career in Minden teaching physical education at East Elementary for ten years right after college and has hopes to stay here for a long time. He returned to Minden officially on Aug. 1 taking over his new duties for MPS.
“In my new positions, I hope to help students have success in school and activities,” said Hoyt. Hoyt will oversee all activities including sports, music, band, play production, speech, cheer, dance, etc.
Hoyt grew up in the Sandhills on a ranch 25 miles north of Hyannis. He attended country school until seventh grade then attended Hyannis and Mullen Public Schools. Hoyt graduated from Mullen High School and then he attended Chadron State College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with majors in K-12 Physical Education, 7-12 Health Education and a Coaching Endorsement. He received his Masters Degree in Educational Administration 7-12 Principal from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
