Nebraska’s Christmas City is gearing up for another holiday season. The Minden Chamber of Commerce has prepared a variety of holiday activities and events for the annual Christmas Traditions Festival beginning November 23. In addition to annual activities like the lighted parade and kids carnival, residents and visitors can enjoy new features.
Family Fun under the Lights will once again feature bounce houses sponsored by Mason’s Market November 24-25 and a Christmas Train sponsored by USA Communications November 25 on the square. Freewill donations for the activities will be given to the group, organization, or individual overseeing the attractions at that time. Some groups will have additional goodies for sale as well. Boy Scout troop 199 will have a hot dog, chili dog, soup, and hot chocolate fundraiser on November 25 from 1-4:00pm while they monitor the bounce houses.
A new attraction will make an appearance on the east side of the square as part of the Family Fun under the Lights lineup November 24 from 1-4:00pm. A mobile escape room from RockIT Event Pros will challenge participants to solve a series of puzzles, clues, riddles, and codes before time runs out. The mobile unit features two escape rooms that can each accommodate groups of up to six people. The activity is open to all ages and can be enjoyed by a group or individuals.
