Kyle Jensen of Minden has turned a hobby into a business with Cornfield Cars. It was a logical step to combine his passion for cars and interest in meeting people in a project to supplement his farming income.
“Cornfield Cars is a thing I’ve been thinking about for a long time. When farming was really rough I thought maybe a business like this would take off and help with my income. So I took a run at it maybe ten years ago and it just fell apart. So that was try number one and then I just scrapped the whole idea. Then I had another run at it and that fell apart too. It just didn’t work, nothing came together at all so I said maybe it isn’t meant to be. Last winter I thought, ‘I’m going to give it one more try’ and it was like nothing could stop it at that point. Everything fell into place,” Jensen said.
Cornfield Cars got its official start in January. Its successful launch aligned with several changes in Jensen’s life.
