Heath Brothers Headed to National Rodeo Competition

The Heath family is no stranger to high level rodeo competition and this year is no exception. Koltdyn Heath, 15, has qualified to compete in Barebacks at the 2022 High School Rodeo National Finals in Gillette, Wyoming July 17-25. Kanin Heath, 13, qualified for the 2022 Junior High National Finals Rodeo in Perry, Georgia June 17-25.

Both brothers have been around rodeo their whole lives. Their father, Kyle, is a team roper and has always rodeoed. Their older brother, Hunter, had his own success in Juniors and High School Rodeo with several visits to the state and national competitions.

Koltdyn and Kanin team rope together, but they have different partners for competitions. Both boys enjoy the rough stock events with Koltdyn competing in Bareback and Bullriding and Kanin competing in Bareback and Bulldogging in addition to their team roping.

Rodeo takes the family all over the state. The Junior rodeo season includes six regular competitions split between the fall and spring season. The high school season has closer to 20 rodeos split between spring and fall.
