Jensen Memorial Library has a full lineup of programs and events for young patrons this Fall. A full calendar of events is available at the library and all activities are free.
Library Playdate every Monday at 10:00 a.m. and Storytime every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. are focused on developing literacy and social skills through fun and play for the library’s youngest patrons. Babies through preschoolers, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, are invited to join in a play and social time during the Library Playdate where possible activities may include stories, busy bags, videos, puppets, Duplos, and other fun. Storytime includes stories accompanied by puppets, songs, and activities in a 30-minute program designed specifically for preschool age children.
After school programming is held several times each week to engage school age kids with fun and social interaction outside of the classroom. Every Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. elementary and middle school students can participate in Tuesdays with MJ. The hour-long program includes stories, activities, crafts, games, and snacks with a seasonal theme hosted by Miss MaryJo.
