2010 Year In Review

Taxing entities in Kearney County would have to wait until April 6 to find out how much they would have to come up with to pay back the tax refund to KAAPA Ethanol.
The Nebraska Supreme Court decision entitling KAAPA Ethanol L.L.C. to a refund of overpaid personal property taxes was discussed at a special meeting of the Kearney County Supervisors and Kearney County Board of Equalization on April 1.
No serious injuries occurred when a John Deere combine driven by Jason Olson was struck  by a Burlington Northern/Sante Fe locomotive at a crossing east of Heartwell.
Children enjoyed the Lions Club Easter Egg hunt held at Bethany Home and Chautauqua Park.
