AgVenture Juniors Split Two Games During The Week

The AgVenture Juniors had a productive week going 1-1 in games on June 21 and June 24 defeating Doniphan-Trumbull at home and going on the road to face Cozad but coming up on the losing end.
AgVenture improved its record to 6-2 on June 21 when they rallied to defeat Doniphan-Trumbull 5-3 at Ollie Bjorklund Field.
Jonas Lovin was the pitcher of record and earned the win after pitching three innings and striking out five. Jordan Miller was the starter in the contest pitching the first four innings allowing three runs on only two hits and he also struck out four D-T hitters.
D-T took an early 1-0 lead after the first inning but AgVenture rallied in the second to knot the game at 1-1 when Isaac Carlson singled and later scored.
D-T added two more runs in the top third to take a 3-1 lead over the Juniors. AgVenture cut into the deficit in the bottom of the inning when Lovin singled and scored on an RBI double from Brendon Sinsel to make it 3-2. The Juniors tied the game in the fourth when Matt Exstrom entered the game, walked, stole second and third and was brought home by a Lovin single to deadlock the game at 3-3.
