AgVenture Suffers First Loss to Gibbon-Shelton In Eight Innings
Shelton-Gibbon took an extra inning to give the AgVenture Juniors their first loss of the season in a back-and-forth battle on Wednesday, June 6 in Minden, dropping AgVenture to 6-1 on the season.
After S-G went quietly in the first, Jacob Choquette led off the bottom of the inning with a walk and after two quick outs, he advanced to second on a Mitchell Muller single and scored on an error by the pitcher. Jordan Miller walked but was stranded at first.
Neither team scored in the second inning, with Matt Exstrom replacing Miller on the mound.
Shelton-Gibbon tied the game shortly thereafter. Exstrom struck out the first two batters but he allowed a walk and a double after that for S-G’s first run of the game.
