Anderbery Carries Axtell To Win Over Palmer, 26-14
The Axtell Wildcats football team was on the road Friday to take on the Palmer Tigers. The game took a strange twist when the lights went out midway through the opening period at the Palmer field and the game then was delayed and moved to Grand Island where the game was finished.
Axtell came away victorious with a 26-14 win to improve the Cats 2010 record to 4 wins and 3 losses heading into a bye week and then its season-ending game against the Kenesaw BlueDevils on Oct. 22.
Heath Anderbery toted the pigskin a career-high 47 times for 209-yards as Axtell carried the ball 65 times for 304-yards rushing.
