Minden High School sophomore Abigayl Anderson created a project in her Advanced Metals class that will benefit the Minden Area Sports Commission. Her metal signs will be placed on dugouts at Augie Nelson Field, Jaycee Park Field, and Sarah’s Field to identify home and visitor teams.
“I had to come up with a project and my dad suggested dugout signs. I thought that was a really good idea and it would take me most of the year to do,” Anderson said.
Her father, Joe Anderson, is a key member in the parent run summer ball program and Abigayl has been participating in the program for years. The fields used by MASC have nothing to distinguish the home team and visiting team dugouts which has led to confusion in the past. Anderson’s baseball shaped sign’s will remedy that problem.
