Axtell Boys Win Team Title, Girls Second At Overton Inv.

Axtell’s boys were again dominant and the Lady Cats finished a strong second at the eight-team Overton Invitational held this year in Axtell on April 19 in quite windy conditions. 

The boys scored 174 in outpacing South Loup (98), Ansley-Litchfield (85) and Overton (52) among the top four.

Quinn Bertrand’s triple gold effort (400, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles) led the Cats. Also winning gold were Cal Johnson (1600), Brennan Runge (shot put), Keyton Cole (3200) and the 4 x 100 relay with Cody Arner, Runge, Elijah Bergstrom and Gavend Cole.
