Axtell Falls To Burwell

Axtell’s girls were defeated 45-53 by Burwell on the first day of the Axtell Holiday Tournament on December 28. The Lady Cats dropped to 3-5. 

Burwell hit nine threes in the contest, many of them when Axtell had gotten within a point of two of the lead.

The Lady Longhorns led 15-7 after the first quarter but the Cats halved Burwell’s lead by halftime, 27-23, with a 16-12 advantage in the second period.
