Axtell Girls Fall in FKC Quarterfinals

Eighth-seeded Axtell won and advanced in the FKC girls’ tournament opening round defeating Hi-Line 34-23 on January 28 in Axtell. It was the second time in three days that the Cats topped the Bulls. Axtell rose to 7-9.

The Cats led a 20-10 at halftime and 29-16 after three quarters. Hi-Line had an edge in the fourth period but the outcome was never seriously in doubt.

Lexie Eckhoff continued her recent excellent play posting a 20-point, 15 rebound double-double. Kassidy Halvorsen scored seven and Megan Kindschuh and Kas- sidy Wehrer both scored three.
