Axtell Invitational

The 2012 Axtell Invitational, held in Wilcox, took place on April 5 with eleven teams competing. The Wilcox-Hildreth girls finished sixth in the team race with 37 points followed closely by Axtell in seventh place, scoring 35. Bertrand easily won the meet amassing 147 points. Kearney Catholic came in second with 79 points.
On the boys’ side, W-H scored 44 to finish sixth while Axtell scored 18 to finish in a tie for ninth. Alma topped the field with 124 points and Bertrand notched 82 for second.
Individually, Hailey Kring of Axtell won the high jump clearing 5’0″. Emilee Pool of Wilcox-Hildreth finished second in the 100 meters clocking 13.0 and was third in the 200 at 28.4.
