Axtell Trail Nears Completion

Pioneer Bridges of Ft. Payne, Alabama delivered the pedestrian bridge Wednesday morning for the Axtell Hike and Bike trail. The eight foot wide, half-mile poured concrete trail links the Mosaic recreation trail to the community of Axtell.  Howrey Construction of Rockwell City, Iowa received the bid for construction of the $177,000.00 pedestrian and bike trail, which was funded with grant monies from the stimulus fund.  The final portion of the trail, the bridge approaches, will be poured in approximately one month, weather permitting.
