Axtell, Wilcox-Hildreth, And Minden FFA Chapters Well Represented At State

The 93rd Nebraska State FFA Convention was held virtually April 7-9. Local FFA chapters were represented in the competitive events and several students received their State FFA degrees.

The Axtell FFA Chapter was well represented at state. Competing in Leadership Development Events were Natalie Kuehl in Senior Public Speaking and Maddie Sonnenfeld in Employment Skills. Both girls earned silver in their event. Competing in Career Development Events were the Farm Business Management team of Jaron Bergstrom, Maddie Sonnenfeld, Jacey Smidt, and Abby Snell earning a blue ribbon, the Natural Resources team of Megan Kindschuh, Amanda Cline, Abby Snell, and Taeylor Samuelson earning a white ribbon, and the Agriscience team of Tiffany Senff, Keyton Cole, Taeylor Samuelson, and Maxine Fickenscher earning a blue ribbon.

Three Axtell seniors received their State FFA degrees. Kaleb Senff, Jacey Smidt, and Madeline Sonnenfeld are the first students at Axtell to earn the award. They put many hours into their Supervised Agriculture Experience projects and being involved in their chapter.
