Axtell Wildcat Track Teams Compete At Overton Invite

The Axtell Wildcats boys and girls track teams are in the middle of the 2010 season and traveled to Overton to compete in the eight-team Overton Invitational.
The Wildcats did well in the meet. The Lady Cats finished as the team runner-up to Ansley. Ansley won the girls team title with 116 points followed by Axtell with 90.5 and Sargent with 87.
Leading the Lady Cats was Alyssa Becker and Hailey Kring. Becker won the 100-meter high hurdles in 16.39 and was third in the 800-meter in 2:45.34 while Kring topped the high jumpers, clearing 5’2″.
