Beautification Committee Receives Grants For New Banners

The Minden Beautification Committee received funding in the amount of $500.00 through a Community Grant for 19 banners. This announcement came from Glenwood Telecommunication’s Economic Development Grant Program Director Troy Stickels. The Glenwood Telecommunication’s program is designed to promote and assist projects which are intended to sustain, enhance or improve the quality of life or safety, or which assist community growth and sustainability, within the service boundaries of Glenwood’s wireless broadband service.
The banners measure 24”x48” for best visibility, are made out of canvas material and are screen printed with two colors on both sides.
The Beautification Committee continually conducts  fundraisers with proceeds going toward costs associated with the Minden Revitalization Project. Any individual wishing to donate either time or resources to the projects can contact Rita Crooks at 832-2030. For financial donations to the Beautification Fund, please contact Todd Jensen at 832-1450 and earmark your donation to the Kearney County Community Foundation for the Beautification Fund.
