Bendfeldts Are Grand Marshals Of State Fair Parade

Jerry and Jo Bendfeldt of Axtell have been selected to serve as the Grand Marshal for the Nebraska State Fair parade on Wednesday, August 29.
Nominations for Grand Marshal were received from across the state and were open to individuals who are oustanding volunteers at their County Fair. They were nominated by the Kearney County Fairboard where they have been involved since their early days in 4-H. They have been married for 51 years and enjoyed working with their children, Mike and Stacey, as they participated in 4-H at the County Fair, State Fair and at Ak-Sar-Ben. Today, they watch their grandson, Jefferson Keller, participate in 4-H and FFA in Howard County.
