Bergstrom Pitches One-Hitter To Lift First Bank To Victory

The First Bank and Trust Company Seniors picked up an 11-2 victory on Friday when they hosted Campbell at Ollie Bjorklund Field.
First Bank’s Ryan Bergstrom was too much for the Campbell hitters going five innings striking out 12 batters and walking only one and allowing only one hit in the first inning.
First Bank went on to defeat Campbell 11-2.
Campbell got its only two runs of the game in the first inning when Bergstrom was touched for a two-run homer to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
First Bank got the bats going in the bottom of the first. Bergstrom singled and Ethan DeLaet doubled to score courtesy runner Isaac Carlson. Colby Emal added a single to score DeLaet and Emal later scored on a pair of errors to give the Seniors a 3-2 lead.
First Bank added three more runs in the second with Bergstrom shutting down the Campbell batting order. Chris Shelton, DeLaet and Miles Steen all scored for First Bank in the second as the lead grew to 6-2.
