Blum One Shot Shy Of State Golf Meet

The Minden Whippet boys varsity golfers competed in the Class B-2 district meet held in York on May 16 at the York Country Club.
The Whippets finished in eighth place in the 12-team district competition. Minden had a team total of 367.
Milford won the B-2 district with a score of 334 followed by Aurora a 335 and Crete was third with 336.
Carson Blum was a stroke away from earning the Whippets a state individual berth in the B boys state tournament.
Blum, a junior, finished in a tie for 13th position carding an 18-hole total of 84.
Teammate Derek Kissinger was six strokes back of Blum. The junior fired a score of 90 to place 26th overall.
