Board Sets Extracurricular Activity Policy

The Minden Public Schools Board of Education approved the first reading of the Extracurricular Activity Philosophy at Tuesday night’s meeting.
The Extracurricular Activity Philosophy reflects current practices in the high school handbook and student participation handbook and addresses issues such as Code of Conduct, Grounds for Discipline, Drug and Alcohol Violations and Consequences, Suspensions, Attendance and Academic Standards.
Also getting approval from the Board of Education was the Technology Club’s upcoming field trip to the Black Thunder Coal Mine near Casper, Wyoming in March.  The costs to the district would consist of fuel costs and salary of the driver.  The Technology Club will take care of the cost of all lodging and food.
