Carpenter Takes Oath Of Office At MPS Board of Education Meeting

The Minden Public School Board of Education moved their January meeting up a day because of an event conflict and met on Jan. 7 in the C.L. Jones Media Center.

 

The board opened with the oath of office for its newest school board member Ken Carpenter of Minden who replaced Pat Nelson who served the district for four years.

 

The first agenda item was to elect a new set of board officers for 2013. Jeff Shelton made the motion to keep the officers as is with Dr. Julie Krull as president; Craig Grams as vice-president and Shelton as Secretary motion carried.
