Cats Defeat Bulls

Axtell’s girls defeated FKC foe Hi-Line 38-17 in Elwood on January 27. The Lady Cats record rose to 8-9. 

The first quarter was a 7-7 stalemate. Axtell led 7-0 then Hi-Line scored the next seven. Lexie Eckhoff had four points and Trinity Houchin hit a trey.

The game was tied at 12-12 at 4:15 of the second period. The Cats finished the quarter on a 5-0 run to lead 17-12 at halftime. Jesse Bertrand scored all 10 Axtell points.
