The Nebraska Corn Growers Association (NeCGA) is a voluntary organization that was founded in 1972 by corn farmers, for corn farmers. Chris Grams of Upland joined the association in 2016 and currently serves as the Franklin-Kearney County Corn Growers Treasurer and State Representative, NeCGA’s secretary, and NeCGA Delegate at Commodity Classic.
His familiarity with the organization began during college when he was repeatedly invited to participate in the Franklin-Kearney County Corn Growers Association golf outing. When a trap shoot was implemented, he attended that event as well and soon became a member.
“During the summer of 2016, I was invited to attend a lunch meeting for the Franklin-Kearney County Corn Growers. After that meeting I decided that this is a great organization that I want to get involved in. In the following year, I was elected to the local board and I am still an officer of the local board,” Grams said.
