Face masks and spaced out seating in the Minden Fire Hall are the new normal for Minden City Council meetings. Mayor Ted Griess welcomed the public to the July 6 regular meeting and stated the Fire Hall would be the regular meeting location moving forward for safety. He also stated he has asked City employees and council members attending the meeting to wear a mask and he strongly encourages the public to wear a mask if they choose to attend and to practice social distancing. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the entrance for anyone who doesn’t have one for the meeting.
Minden entered into a Water Warning on July 6. Griess explained there will be a schedule for watering lawns released in order to conserve water at this time. Residents are asked to abide by the schedule based on their address. The schedule will be posted on the City’s website and facebook page as well as being published in The Minden Courier.
