A community meeting was held via Zoom on April 6 to continue discussions on the Coronavirus pandemic in Kearney County. Representatives from Two Rivers Public Health Department, Kearney County Health Services, the City of Minden, and area businesses and churches joined the telephonic meeting.
Katie Mulligan from Two Rivers started the meeting with an area update. She reported a lot of activity since the previous weekly meeting with directed health measures closing salons and other non-essential businesses being put in place.
Although Kearney County had two positive COVID-19 cases at the time of the meeting, Mulligan stated Two Rivers wasn’t worried about community spread within the county at present. One of the cases is from a traveler and one is from direct contact with a COVID-19 positive patient.
