Health officials and community leaders met March 16 to discuss the status of COVID-19 in the area, precautions, and possible actions moving forward.
Jeremy Eschliman from Two Rivers Public Health Department started the meeting by stating there were no current cases in the Two Rivers district at that time. Anyone who had recently traveled to high impact areas like New York, California, Washington state, or a third tier country should self-isolate.
Eschliman counseled common sense during this time including basic precautions of proper and regular hand washing, social distancing, and routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces. He also encouraged preparing for the long haul.
