Council Adopts Formal Procedure To Handle Submitted Claims

stem by a city snowplow now rests in the hands of the city’s insurance carrier as a result of new resolution unanimously passed by the city council.
The city of Minden adopted a formal procedure Monday evening in which all claims will be forwarded to the city’s insurance carrier for action.  The decision of the insurance carrier will be included as a report on the next agenda. Once the insurance carrier’s report is reviewed, the council will have the option of agreeing with the insurance carrier’s decision and removing the action from the consent agenda or can leave the claim on the agenda as a report with no action.
