The Minden City Council took action to make improvements to the underpass on Garber Avenue during the January 19 regular meeting.
Because the underpass is on BNSF Railway property, the City must have permission before the work can be done. After several years of reaching out to BNSF about the matter, the City has finally made progress. A temporary occupancy permit to complete the rehabilitation work on the Garber Avenue underpass was approved by the council. The permit, once approved by BNSF Railway Company, will grant permission to perform the work on railroad property for up to six months under specific guidelines.
