A housing study will soon be conducted for the City of Minden. SCEDD Deputy Director Levi Adam presented the idea to the Minden City Council during the February 10 meeting.
Although not necessary, a housing study can be useful in recognizing housing issues within a community, securing funding to address the issues, and capturing the interest of private investors.
The proposal submitted states SCEDD will compile data from several areas to provide an accurate assessment of Minden’s housing issues over a 90 day period. A grant is available to cover half the cost of the housing study.
