A public hearing to consider the Fiscal Year 2020-21 City Budget was held during a special meeting of the Minden City Council on September 14. There were no comments from the public and the hearing was closed.
The budget presented to the council for consideration was different from the budget published in the September 9 issue of the Minden Courier. After the budget was published, it was discovered that $1.405 million for the street bond proceeds was mistakenly omitted from the figures.
While those numbers were corrected on the budget, a few other areas were refined. The revised budget was presented to the council and City Administrator Matt Cederburg detailed the changes. Alterations were made to the proposed budget of disbursements and transfers, necessary cash reserve, and total resources available lines of the budget.
