The Minden City Council addressed a variety of topics during the August 16 regular meeting. Business started with a request to purchase repair parts for the WWTP SBR basin 2.
Utilities Superintendent Darin Fischer explained there were damages found during the cleaning of SBR basin 1 last year. Parts to repair the damages have a wait time of 8-10 weeks for delivery. Now Fischer would like to clean SBR basin 2 and anticipates similar damages.
To be prepared, Fischer would like to purchase the parts so that they will be on site when the basin is empty for cleaning. The purchase of repair parts for the WWTP SBR basin 2 for $19,378.79 from Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. was approved.
