The Minden City Council met on the first day of summer for their regular meeting. Water and sewer topped the agenda items for the evening.
Mayor Ted Griess kicked off the water talks by reading the declaration of a Stage 1 Water Watch that was issued at 11:00 a.m. that day. By announcing a Stage 1 Water Watch, the City hopes to inform residents of a potential shortage in the future. The goal at this point is to encourage citizens to voluntarily reduce their water usage for purposes of watering lawns, washing vehicles, and spraying down driveways and building exteriors in order to keep from moving to a more severe water problem.
