Council Has Busy Agenda For Meeting

The Minden City Council met on Monday, March 18, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. in the council chambers for a regular session.

In the first order of business, the city council listened to a presentation by Laurel Thorell of the Kearney County Economic Development Agency (KCEDA).

“We started in 2004 just to provide economic development in Kearney County,” Thorell said. “It’s basically a low-interest loan program that we give out to businesses, [people] that want to either start a business or add something to their business or improve it some way.

“We have available funds–we have over $13,000 available–so if you know of anybody that’s looking to start a business or looking for funds to improve their business, please send them our way.”

More information on KCEDA can be found on their website, www.kearneycounty.net.
