The Minden West Estates Phase 2 project is moving forward following a public hearing for the preliminary plat during the February 7 meeting of the Minden City Council. Jeff Palik from Olsson Associates presented the preliminary plat plans during the hearing.
The plat includes 35 housing lots, one outlot, and a pond capable of holding a 100 year storm event. After his presentation, Palik answered questions from the council concerning easements, existing wells, and drainage. With no further comments from the public the hearing was closed and the council approved the preliminary plat for Minden West Estates Phase 2.
The Minden CRA recently purchased 30 acres of land at the December 20th council meeting to develop for housing. The property consists of four different parcels on the south end of town. Amendment #5 with Olsson Associates to complete a boundary survey of approximately 30 acres to complete the purchase of land was approved.
