Council Puts End To Trail Discussion

The Minden City Council meeting on Sept. 17 had a full house in the council chambers with Minden High American Government students and concerned residents there to hear about a proposed parking change on Hawthorne Street.
The second-to-last item on the agenda got bumped to the top of the council agenda. The proposal to vacate the north side of Hawthorne Street for hospital remodel project, reducing the width of the street from approximately 26 feet to 18.5 feet.
