The November 16 regular Minden City Council meeting agenda was dominated by status updates on orders of condemnation for three properties. Marshall Nelson attended the meeting to inform the council of progress on condemned properties owned by the Pioneer Village Foundation.
Nelson reported the restaurant portion of the property located at 146 W. Highway 6 had been demolished and removed while siding was added to the remaining residence as requested. He said the project was complete and the paperwork had been turned into the City Office that morning.
Councilman Larry Evans questioned whether the roof and windows had been addressed because they were noted as needing repair during the August 5, 2019 meeting. The council moved forward with a condemnation order to demolish the property at that time so it is unclear if those repairs are necessary to fulfill the order of condemnation.
