The November 20 regular meeting of the Minden City Council was exceptionally short. Following the pledge of allegiance, a reading of the open meeting statement, and mayoral announcements reminding citizens of the holiday festivities beginning November 24, the council got right to action items of the agenda.
The consent agenda included four items: minutes from the November 6 meeting, bills and claims, acceptance of excused absence of council members, and reports enclosed in the council packet. With minimal discussion the consent agenda was approved including the excused absence of City Administrator Matt Cederburg and council member Teresa Sumstine.
City employees are annually granted Chamber Bucks in appreciation of their work throughout the year. The tradition continued when the council approved employee appreciation Chamber Bucks in the amounts of $100 for full-time and $50 for part-time employees.
