Council Signs With Group To Study Energy And Rates

The Minden City Council met on Monday, December 16 for its final regular city council meeting for 2013 at city hall.
The council’s first order of business was discussion of a memorandum of understanding agreement between Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Communities  and the City of Minden to collaborate on the topic of community attitudes regarding energy usage and rates. The mission of this project is to promote an integrated approach to sustainability through education, public visioning and partnership.
The goal of the program is to work with three community partners to establish a framework for fostering appropriate, targeted and local communication strategies to address a problem-opportunity specific  to that community.
