A public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2021-22 City Budget was held immediately prior to the September 7 regular meeting of the Minden City Council. City Administrator Matt Cederburg outlined the budget particulars and answered questions from the council.
The City’s property tax asking will have no rate change from last year due to an increase in the County’s valuation. The street bond will also see no change. Expenses of note outlined in the proposed budget include infrastructure at Minden West Estates, the WTP backwash recovery project, 33 Road repair in conjunction with Kearney County, splashpad at Chautauqua Park, CDBG Downtown Revitalization project round two, and comprehensive plan and entryway study.
After Cederburg’s presentation was complete and the council’s questions were answered, the floor was opened to public comment. With none given, the hearing was closed.
